Planning/Research Interests
Jason has varied interests in planning, architecture, urban design, lighting and aviation.  He has a particular affinity for striking modernist architecture which can be found in abundance on campus and in the City of Albany.  He enjoys urban and landscape design, believing fervently that we must bring back the American tradition which places immense value in our civic buildings and inspiring, meaningful, inviting urban public spaces. He also has a valuable interest in the science of lighting and lighting design--both interior and exterior, and how it affects the quality of space and human reactions.  He has taken classes at the Lighting Research Center at RPI.  Most critically to the UAlbany program, Jason is deeply interested in the aviation industry and all things related.  He is interested in the concept of 'Aerotropolis' and how the airport/airplane might serve as the focal mode of transportation in the 21st century, like the car had in the 20th century, and the rail/steamboat did in the 19th century.  Additionally, he is devoted to sustainable development and green planning.  He would like to link the aviation to environmentalism, bridging the gap between the two.

Thesis/Research Paper Topic
Jason is formulating his research paper topic, however he hopes to focus on the "Aerotropolis" or green airports.
