Planning/Research Interests
Jodie wishes to make a meaningful change by making the goal of sustainable and equitable development a reality for her country, the Philippines. She is driven to attain this goal seeing as how the country is going through serious effects of climate change. She plans to bring back skills and knowledge she has learned in her pursuit of higher education while in the United States. As a Filipina, she believes that this is her duty. Such a task will not be easy, but she is up to the challenge.

Thesis/Research Paper Topic
Jodie is interested in writing about how the country might prepare itself to combat the effects of climate change in the coming years. She wants to write about ways to tap into the nation's culture, history and tradition to evoke the Filipino people to work together in such an endeavor.
